While it had the usual Marvel flare, it felt dry and stale. It felt like the movie had to hit certain plot points but struggled to hit them in a natural fashion. The movie once again drew attention to the "women can't fight men" trope Marvel falls into frequently. The primary plot and character driving problem is resolved effortlessly in the last five minutes of the movie, making the entire movie a case of frustrating and unnecessary miscommunication. The little character growth the movie tries to hint at also falls a bit flat since it happens on a dime with no real progression and so seems to be a choice rather than real growth.

Marvel gives another turn of the meat grinder to slop out another boring carbon copy action hero film where the characters dont matter and the jokes arent even funny anymore. Held together with paste, this one drops a variety of cameos into the "plot" which are supposed to invoke shock, but like Marvel could be bothered to think of a new character. Another installation of women heroes fighting women antagonists because women can only fight women. True to all Marvel movies the powers of all characters ebbs and flows according to sloppy writing. References to other marvel material just begs the question of why is anyone struggling when XYZ exists in this universe. If the entire movie had been about the Flerkens it would be an A.
