My least favorite part about playing in the band in college was how the head conductor was all swooshy-wavy-handsy with his conducting, rather than just giving us some marked time. I guess I liked the robots.

Anyway, this story started off quite gripping, and started to feel a bit unhinged at the end -- but I think that was on purpose to match the mental state of the main character. Overall still felt it was entertaining, and a great performace by Cate Blanchett
