Bottoms
Unpopular best friends PJ and Josie start a high school fight club to meet girls and lose their virginity. They soon find themselves in over their heads when the most popular students start beating each other up in the name of self-defense.
"I don't talk to people in overalls"
A surreal movie that seemed to know what it was aiming for, but then failed to thread the needle on that delicate vision. Some of the theater seemed to love the humor in this movie, but almost all of the jokes were either too subtle or too extreme for my tastes. While this worked for the almost Wes Anderson feel of the movie, it made it difficult to enjoy. Ultimately it felt more like a quirky comedy sketch turned into a movie than a big screen comedy.

I was led to believe there would be queer bottoms.
This was sort of a surrealist comedy but just never really hit the jokes for me.
From the football scene onward was alright, but I clearly didn't get into it like the rest of the audience.
