Not a movie with a plot, just an excuse to do some visual effects. Not a single original idea, jumps from Star Wars to Lord of the Rings, Black Panther, Iron Man. Movies need to stop making climate change a plot point, magically fixing things belittles the problem.

Remember how much you loved the silly non-human creatures from the Star Wars prequels? No? Well, prepare to be reminded.

They bring up the first movie like we actually remember it, and then decide to say fuck It people change and we need a costar buddy, so let's throw this guy back in. Also might as well have just had the monster be manbearpig.

Lazy writing. Plot felt like a kludge of other movies with a nonsensical overarching thread. No real new characters. Only real positive was the visual effects on the grungier scenes, but even those were hard to appreciate since the effect quality wasn't consistent.
